Friends of Craig Sager for a long time, Stephen Curry, honored him by making and wearing a special pair of Curry 9 Sager Strong shoes in Game 4 of the Warriors vs. Grizzlies series in the NBA Playoffs at the Chase Center in San Francisco. This made Stacy Sager, the Sager Family, and the SagerStrong Foundation feel very touched and thankful.
From what our friends at Under Armour told us, Stephen Curry wanted to honor Craig’s longtime effect on the NBA, his best-in-class sideline interviews, and his signature bright and bold style going into the 75th anniversary season. In March 2016, Stephen and the Curry Brand designers looked at pictures of one of their many contacts. In one of the pictures, Craig was wearing a patterned orange tie and suit at Oracle Arena.

Stephen wore the Curry 9 Flow shoe in Game 4 with a pattern of flowers and dots in many colors that were based on his tie. To remember Craig’s memory and help make the game better for everyone, Stephen will sign and auction off a pair of Curry Brand shoes that he wore in games. All the money raised will go to the Sager Strong Foundation.
